The Journey of HYZEN: A Century of Health

In July 2010, the story of SOLCO began in a small gathering in Los Angeles. At the time, CEO Cheolho Lim was a successful entrepreneur running an electronics company. Yet, at a certain moment, he asked himself: "What matters most to me right now?" The answer was clear—health is the foundation of everything.

The first time CEO Lim encountered a SOLCO mattress, he saw more than just a product. He saw the potential to transform lives. Seeking deeper assurance, he traveled to Korea to meet CEO Seokon Kim in person, confirming that his choice was the right one. From this encounter, the SOLCO Health Center for the Korean community in LA was born.

The SOLCO Health Center was more than a simple experience space. It became a place for those seeking to regain their health and a warm haven for Korean expatriates weary from life abroad. With six-week health programs, free trials of medical devices, and alkaline-reduced water, visitors received both health and relaxation. The SOLCO mattress, in particular, earned trust for its notable effects on sleep, muscle pain, and lifestyle improvement.

For CEO Lim, the most precious value has always been people. By offering warm meals and attentive care to every visitor, the center became more than a service—it became a place of shared heart. Many members of the community found in this space an opportunity to reflect on and regain their health.

In 2016, CEO Lim hosted a medical health expo centered on the theme of “Health for a Century,” leaving a profound impact on the local community. This was more than an event; it was a place to share the philosophy that “Healthy families create happy communities.”

Not content with just SOLCO mattresses, CEO Lim took a step further, focusing on the most basic yet essential element: water. In addition to promoting health with platinum-enriched water, he introduced hydrogen water to drive change from within the body, offering a more fundamental health solution to the community.

By combining SOLCO’s technology with the new paradigm of hydrogen water, the HYZEN brand was finally born. CEO Lim successfully brought advanced Korean health technologies to the U.S. market, establishing HYZEN as a leading health brand within the Korean-American community.

Even amidst the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, HYZEN remained resilient. The reasons were twofold: unwavering technology and the trust of customers who believed in the brand until the end. As of 2025, HYZEN’s platinum-enriched water continues to support healthier lives, with three experience centers and its headquarters serving the community.

Just as HYZEN began with sharing, its commitment has never changed. A place where health can be felt through experience, where small gestures and warmth accompany every interaction—HYZEN continues to stand by your side, helping you safeguard your health. Health is the foundation of all else. HYZEN will be there with you every step of the way.
